Causticum is prescribed for learning disabilities with speech disabilities. The child mispronounces or uses wrong words while speaking.

Stramonium is used for learning disabilities where the person calls things by wrong names.

SUMBUL

Sumbul is effective for children having weak mathematical skills. A person with this condition generally makes mistakes while writing and while performing simple mathematical calculations, especially while adding numbers.

Dry, scaly, and itchy. Marked exfoliation of skin in large scales, leaving a raw surface beneath.

BERBERIS AQUIFOLIUM

Psoriasis with severe itching. Skin pimply, dry, rough, and scaly. Eruption on scalp extending to face and neck.

BORAX

Itching on the dorsum of finger. Unhealthy skin, slight injury suppurates. Eruptions on fingers and hands, itching, and stinging. Ends of hair become tangled.

CALCAREA CARBONICA

Suited to fat, fair, flabby persons, who are easily fatigued by exertion. Sluggish physically. Chilly with clammy hands and feet. Sweat profusely, especially scalp at night. Sensitive to cold air, catch cold very easily. Skin complaints worse in winter. Craving for eggs and indigestible things like dirt, chalk, pencils, coal etc. Scurfy spots on the legs. Itching, worse in cold weather. Humid eruptions on face, genitals, and hands especially palmar surface. Thick, brown, yellow crusts, bleed on scratching.

GRAPHITES

Rough, hard, persistent dryness of skin. Rawness in bend of knees, groins and neck behind. Eruptions oozing thick exudation. Burning and stinging pains worse in warmth and at night.

 HYDROCOTYLE ASIATICA

Psoriasis of trunks, extremities, palms, and soles. Circular spots with scaly edges. Great thickening and exfoliation of skin.

MEZEREUM

PETROLEUM

Psoriasis of palms and finger tips. Dry skin. Severe itching, worse at night, and from getting warm in bed. A cold sensation after scratching. The skin is easily infected and look hard, rough, thick, and leathery. Deep cracks on the skin. Bleeding from the cracks. Worse in winter.

 PHOSPHORUS

Psoriasis of knees and elbows, and knees. Skin covered with dry, scaly eruptions. Intense itching, burning, and stinging, worse from heat.

RADIUM BROMIDE

Circular patches all over the body. Severe itching, redness, swelling, and extreme burning of the skin as if on fire, worse on undressing, better in the open air and by taking a hot bath.

RHUS TOXICODENDRON

Psoriasis with arthritis. Red and swollen lesions. Severe itching, better from hot application or baths. Muscle pain and stiffness of joints, worse from rest, cold air, and in the morning.   Better from movement, and warm. 

 SEPIA

Itching not relieved by scratching, worse in bends of elbows and knees. Herpes circinate in isolated spots. Itching worse on going in open air, better in warm room.

SULPHUR

Dirty, filthy people, prone for skin affections. Aversion to being washed. Dry, scaly, unhealthy skin, every little injury suppurates. Red lips and face.  Severe itching and burning, worse from scratching and washing. Affected area often look like bright red and irritated, with scaling skin that gets inflamed from scratching. Itching, worse from warmth, evening. Skin complaints recurs every winter and from bad effects of local medications.

HOMEOPATHY FOR ULCERATIVE COLITIS

Homoeopathy today is a rapidly growing system and is being practiced all over the world. It strength lies in its evident effectiveness as it takes a holistic approach towards the sick individual through promotion of inner balance at mental, emotional, spiritual and physical levels. When ulcerative colitis    is concerned there are many effective medicines available in Homoeopathy, but the selection depends upon the individuality of the patient, considering mental and physical symptoms.

MERCURIOUS SOL: Merc sol is one of the top remedies for ulcerative colitis. The stools are bloody slimy with a constant desire to pass stool. A never get- done feeling is present. Fever.

ARGENTUM NITRICUM: Argentum nitricum is another excellent remedy for colitis. Membranous stools and the flatus expels with noise. Stools, shreddy, mucus, turning green like chopped spinach. There is pain in the region of the spleen

ALOE SOCOTRINA: Aloes is also a useful remedy for colitis. There is a constant bearing down sensation in the rectum. Bleeding is present. Rectum feels sore and hot , and is relieved by cold water. Lot of mucus and wind is expelled with stools and the pain in remains in the rectum after passing stools. Jelly like stool.  There is a gurgling sound in the rectum.

ALLIUM SATIVA: Allium sativa is effective in high fevers and fleshy persons. It is useful when colitis with stools containing shreds of intestinal mucous membrane is present.  Cutting pain in abdomen and loins. Great hunger.

ATISTA RADIX: Passes only blood along with stool with intense navel pain. Flatulence.

CEPHALANDRA INDICA : Greenish mucus with stool, tinged with blood. Pain before and during stool.

COLOCYNTHIS: Colocynth is another effective remedy for colitis. It is indicated when severe cutting pain in abdomen is present forcing the patient to bend double. Stool renewed each time by the least food or drink. Jelly like stools. Slippery bubles escape from anus.  Pains worse from anger. There is bitter taste in mouth

CYNADON DACTYLON: Flatulence and abdominal cramps. Stools irritating with acrid odor, urgency and noisy expulsion. Stool after food. Chronic diarrhea.

MERCURIUS DULCIS: Merc.Dul.Is also useful for colitis. Here the stools are scanty mixed with blood, mucus and bile. Constant desire without tenesmus.  Anus sore and burning.

MERC COR: Great urge to pass stool, even immediately after defaecation. A never gone feeling. The stool is hot, bloody , slimy and offensive with cutting pain and shreds of mucous membranes. The abdomen feels bruised and is bloated and very painful to the slightest pressure.

LACHESIS: Lachesis is one of the leading remedies for colitis when colitis with offensive diarrhoea alternating with constipation is present. Here the abdomen is very sensitive to touch. Beating in the anus as from hammers.

COLCHICUM AUTUM: Colchicum is another effective remedy for colitis. There is distension of abdomen with wind. Also the patient feels pain in the region of liver. The stools contain shreds.

ANTIMONIUM CRUDUM  30- Diarrhea alternates with constipation.Stool  is slimy with much mucus, but also contains hard lumps. Tongue coated thick white. Cravings for acids and pickles

CHINA OFFINALIS: Colitis after eating fruits or ice water , milk. There is yellow watery stools with flatulence. Another key point is absence of pain. Worse after eating.

FICUS INDICA: Haemorrhage before evacuation. Stools are bloody with pure red blood and colic.

HAMAMELIS: Hamamelis is useful for controlling the bleeding of the disease

FERRUM PHOS 30, FERRUM MET 30- These remedies are used for correcting anaemia due to colitis.

MAGNESIA CARBONICUM: The abdomen is distended Another leading symptom is in diarrhea the stool is green and forced out.

SEPIA: In Sepia there is entero- colitis. The leading symptom the choice of this remedy is always worse after taking milk.

KALI BICHROMICUM: There is chronic ulceration and perforation with cutting pain, soreness and burning.

SELENIUM MET: Selenium is prescribed when colitis is caused by tuberculosis of peritoneum.

Alcohol use disorder is a medical condition characterized by an impaired ability to stop or control alcohol use despite adverse social, occupational, or health consequences. It encompasses the conditions that some people refer to as alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence, alcohol addiction, and the colloquial term, alcoholism.

HOMOEOPATHY MEDICINES

 

ANGELICA       SINENSIS

Angelica produces disgust for liquor It will also correct atony of different organs, dyspepsia, nervous headache etc.

APOCYNUM CANNABINUM

Effective for curing great craving for alcohol. The patients are low spirited and experiences anxiety and depression. There is severe nausea and vomiting. The patient experiences difficulty in passing urine and it takes long time. The urine is hot, turbid mixed with thick mucus and burning in urethra after urinating.

ARSENIC ALBUM

Arsenic alb stops the craving for alcohol and helps in reducing the ill effects of excessive alcoholism. Arsenic patient experiences great anxiety, restlessness and fear of death. There is delirium tremens.

CAMPHOR

Camphor should be tried when Angelica failed in controlling alcoholism. There is coldness in stomach followed by burning.

CAPSICUM ANNUM

Capsicum annum is effective for controlling great desire for alcohol. It is prescribed when the patient has vomiting and diarrhoea.

CHINA OFFICINALIS

China will remove the craving for alcohol in drunkards who wish to reform. There is internal coldness of stomach and abdomen. Liver and spleen enlarged. Patient experiences flatulence, and there is belching of bitter fluid or regurgitation of food gives no relief.

QUERCUS GLANDIUM SPIRITUS

Quercus is considered to be a specific for alcoholism. There is dropsy and liver affections. It will antidote the bad effects of alcohol.

STERCULIA

An effective remedy for alcoholism. It promotes the appetite and digestion and lessens the craving for alcohol.

STRYCHNINUM NITRICUM

Strychninum nitricum removes the craving for alcohol in any form.

SULPHURIC ACID

Sulphuric acid is one of the top remedies for alcoholism. The patient experiences heartburn, sour eructation’s and sour vomiting. Craving for alcohol is an important symptom of this remedy. It is prescribed when water causes coldness of stomach, must be mixed with liquors. The patient experiences relaxed feeling in stomach, which is relieved by heat application. Aversion to the smell of coffee.

SULPHUR

Sulphur should be tried when China fails. The patient has great desire to drink alcohol all the time. Wants to drink from morning till evening or till awake. There is complete loss of appetite and very weak and faint feeling in stomach at about 11 am, must have something to eat.

Antimonium tart. is prescribed for vomiting in drunkards with white coated tongue.

AVENA SATIVA

 Avena sativa is prescribed for sleeplessness and nervousness in drunkards. Avena sativa takes away the longing for alcohol.

CARBONEUM SULPH

Carboneum sulph is very useful for people broken down by abuse of alcohol. Impotency, colour blindness etc are cured by this remedy.

CARDUS MARIANUS

Cardus mar. is very effective for liver troubles, liver pain, constipation alternating with diarrhoea seen in chronic alcoholics especially beer drinkers.

COFFEA CRUDA

Coffea cruda is effective for headache due to alcoholism. Headache as if nails were driven in to the head. Worse in open air. It is also effective for sleeplessness, convulsions, and liveliness due to alcohol.

CROTALUS HORRIDUS

Crotalus hor. Is prescribed for liver diseases seen in chronic alcoholics.

CHIMAPHILA UMBELLATA

Chimaphila umbellate is effective for the removal of renal and hepatic disorders in chronic alcoholics.

GELSEMIUM SEMPERVIRENS

Gelsemium is prescribed when nervous symptoms are predominant in alcoholics. There is excessive trembling and weakness of all limbs. The patient experiences lack of muscular coordination.

LACHESIS

Lachesis patients are ill- natured, inclined to violent crimes, vindictive, jealous, envious, incline to kill others and not himself. Talkativeness before and during drunkenness.

NUX VOMICA

Nux vomica is prescribed when there is giddiness and restlessness after alcohol drinking. Heavy vomiting after drinking. The patient experiences nausea and trembling after drinking. Nervousness due to drinking wine or liquor. Nux vomica patients are frightened by little noise and spring up at night with dreadful dreams. These patients have a tendency to envy and jealousy. They commit suicide by shooting or stabbing.

OPIUM

Delirium tremors over and over again. Expression of fright or terror on face. Breathing strenuous, visions of animals and ghosts with uneasy sleep. Face dark red.

PETROLEUM

Petroleum is effective when the drunkards are seen without energy, without strength of will, unable to refuse a glass of wine. Vomiting after the least excess in drinks. The patient talking too much when drunk.

RANUNCULUS BULBOSUS

Ranunculus bulbosus is effective for mental attacks of drunkards. It cures coma due to heavy drinking of alcohol and other bad effects of alcohol.

SECALE CORNUTUM

Secale cor is prescribed for insomnia due to the intake of alcohol.

PULSATILLA NIGRICANS

Indigestion, which is caused by consuming rich foods, fats, pork, pastries, desserts, ice –creams etc. Belching’s, taste of food remains a long time after ices, fruits, pastry etc. Stomach disordered, feels heavy. Heartburn and flatulence.  Indigestion with loose stool. Changeable stools, no two stools alike. Thirstlessness with nearly all complaints.

CARBO VEGETABILIS

Indigestion with excessive flatulence. Indigestion may result from over eating, eating rich fatty foods or eating too late in the evening and sleeping soon, thereafter. Digestion slow, food putrefies before it digests. The simplest food distresses. Belching, heaviness, sleepiness, tense from flatulence with pain, worse lying down. Contractive pains extending to chest with distension of abdomen. Sometimes headache associated with indigestion.

ANACARDIUM ORIENTALE

 Indigestion, which results from taking cold drinks or stress. Weak digestion with fullness and distension. Heartburn after 2-3 hours of eating, which is better from eating. Eating relieves dyspepsia. Empty feeling in stomach. Gastric pain better from eating, but worse again after 2-3 hours. There is a sensation of plug anywhere in the alimentary canal.

ABIES NIGRA

Indigestion with a feeling of constriction just above the pit of the stomach as if everything were knotted up. Pain in stomach always comes on after eating. Belching. Sensation of a lump that hurts. As if a hard-boiled egg had lodged in the cardiac end of stomach. It is a good remedy for dyspepsia of the aged with functional heart symptoms. Offensive breath and eructation’s

 Indigestion from consuming preserved food. Dyspepsia from vinegar, acids, ice cream, ice water etc. Nausea, retching and vomiting after eating and drinking. Burning pain. Ice cold water distresses the abdomen and is vomited immediately. Great anxiety and restlessness.

 Indigestion with constant nausea, not relieved by vomiting. Clean tongue, a leading symptom of Ipecac. The stomach is disordered by rich food, pork, pastry, candy, ice cream etc.

Lycopodium patient prefer sweets and hot drinks and food.

ROBINIA 3X

 Indigestion with great acidity. Sour stomach. Everything turns to acid. Heartburn and acidity of stomach at night on lying down. Nausea with sour belching. Profuse vomiting of an intensely sour fluid. Complaints worse from consuming fats, cabbages, turnips, raw fruits, ice creams.

 COLOCYNTHIS

Indigestion with stomach pain. Pain comes in waves, better doubling up and hard pressure, worse least food or drink, except coffee and tobacco smoking.  Sensation in stomach as if something would not yield, drawing pain in the stomach. Complaints from potatoes and starchy food. Indigestion from anger.
