Trigger finger happens when the tendon that controls that finger cannot glide smoothly in the sheath that surrounds it. This may occur if part of the tendon sheath becomes swollen if a small nodule forms.

ARNICA MONTANA

Trigger fingers from overstraining or overexertion. Soreness after overexertion. Sprained and dislocated feeling. Bruised pain. Worse from slightest touch.

CAUSTICUM

Dull tearing pain. Stiffness of fingers, very difficulty in moving. Tendons contracted. Numbness of fingers and hands.

MERCURIUS SOLUBILIS

Trigger fingers with complete locking of fingers or thumb. Cracking sound in fingers when moving. Stiffness in hands.

RHUS TOXICODENDRON

Trigger finger from overuse or overstraining. Tearing pain in tendons. Stiffness in fingers, especially in the morning. Better from moving the fingers or hands continuously. Loss of power in fingers.

SULPHUR

RHUS TOXICODENDRON

Back pain from muscle strain, overstraining, overstretching or from lifting heavy weight. Pain worse from rest, better from walking, hard pressure.

KALI CARBONICUM

Backache affected in the lower part of the back and extends down in to the back of legs and is worse in morning. It is usually seen in pregnant women and after delivery.   Prolonged walking causes backache and the patient has to rest after walking for few minutes.

BRYONIA ALBA

Back pain worse from slightest motion and better by rest and pressure or lying on a hard substance.  Stiffness of the back.

AESCULUS HIPOCASTANUM

 Back pain in the lower region due to constipation and piles. It is also useful for backache after hard labour.  The pain is relieved by standing. Backache also occurs due to hard work. Person with backache requiring Aesculus cannot bend forward as it causes excruciating pain.

COBALTUM METALLICUM

 Back pain in back and sacrum, which is worse while sitting and better by walking or lying. Pain from the lower back may radiate down the legs and feet.

COLOCYNTHIS

Backache due to lumbar spondylosis where pain from lower back radiates down the left leg. The pain may be cramp-like, shooting, drawing or tearing in nature. Pressure over painful area provides relief. Lying on the left side also helps to relieve the pain. In some cases, heat application on the leg brings relief. 

GNAPHALIUM POLYCEPHALUM

 Back pain radiating down the legs and numbness in legs. Resting on the back brings relief from back pain. Flexing the thigh on abdomen also provides relief.

HYPERICUM PERFORATUM

 Back pain with nerve involvement. Disc or the bony spurs impinge on the nerves and the pain radiates to the lower limbs. Hypericum per. can relieve the pain as well as the muscle spasm. Violent pain and inability to walk or stoop after a fall on coccyx.

MAGNESIUM PHOS 

 Back pain in the lower back radiates down the right leg. The pain radiating down the leg may vary from sharp, cutting, stabbing, lightening-like in nature. The pain appears intermittently or in paroxysms. Hard pressure or warm application over the painful part brings relief.

BERBERIS VULGARIS

Berberis vulgaris is effective for backache due to stones in the kidney and due to urinary troubles. Pain radiates in all directions with numbness.  Pain and numbness in back during menses.

CIMICIFUGA RACEMOSA

Back pain due to uterine troubles. Spine very sensitive especially upper part. Stiffness and contraction in neck and back. Pain in lumbar region, down thighs, and through hips. Crick in back.

NUX VOMICA

 Lumbar pain due to lifting. It occurs commonly persons having a sedentary life, the modern lifestyle where physical activity is little while mental stress is too much and the patient is chilly and constipated. Pain is worse in winters. Back pain in the bed on lying. Must sit up or turn side.

PHOSPHORUS

Back pain is attended with burning sensation in the spine. The back feels as if it would break from pain. Weakness in the back is also observed.

SILICEA

Back pain with degenerative changes in the bones occurs. These changes may be osteoarthritic forming bony spurs or they may concern the discs. Any exposure to cold air can bring on the pain. The patient feels better in warmth and in the summer weather.

OVA TOSTA

Back pain with leucorrhoea. There is a feeling as if the spine was broken and wired or tied together with a string

ANTIMONIUM TART

Back pain due to fatigue especially in the lower back. Any movement may cause vomiting.

STAPHYSAGRIA

Back pain occurs after sexual excesses or on indignation. It is worse in the morning after rising.

RUTA GRAVEOLENS

Chenopodium anthelminticum

Buzzing and roaring in the ear. Hearing difficulty. Hearing is better for the high-pitched sounds. Sudden vertigo.

China sulph

Hardness of hearing, sometimes with violent headache. Violent ringing, buzzing, roaring in ears. Deafness. Tinkling in the ears. Buzzing, especially in left ear, sometimes occasioning deafness on that side.

Ferrum picricum

Humming in ears as from telegraph wires. Deafness. Crackling in ears and low-pitched voice. Deafness. Vertigo.

Graphites

Hardness of hearing. Hears better in noise. Hissing sound in the ears. Cracking sound in ears when eating. Feeling as of hard body behind ears. Feel stuffed at full moon.

Petroleum

Diminished hearing. Roaring, ringing, humming, cracking or noise like that of wind or like rushing water from the ear. Deafness with noises in ears in elderly people.

Salicylic acid

Hearing diminished. Deafness with noises in ears. Roaring and ringing in ears, hears music, swarm of bees or buzzing of flies. Deafness with vertigo.

Involuntary urination. Severe dull pain, and feeling of fullness in bladder, not relieved by urinating. Frequent urging with severe pain at the close of urination. Passes large quantity of urine. Involuntary urination in the day and at night. Obliged to rise several times at night to urinate.

Kreosotum                      

Sudden urge to urinate. Must hurry when desire comes to urinate. Involuntary urination when lying, on coughing. Frequent urination with copious urine during day. Urine offensive.

Lycopodium clavatum

Frequent urging to urinate, especially at night. Copious urination at night. Overactive bladder in males along with prostate enlargement. Pain in back before urinating, ceases after flow, slow in coming, must strain.

Frequent urination during the day and night. Urine leaks involuntary. Scanty or profuse urine. Burning in urethra on beginning to urinate.

Pareira brava

Constant urging. Great straining. Pain down thighs during efforts to urinate.

Prunus spinosa

Urinary incontinence due to prostate problems. Hurriedly impelled to urinate. Urine passes as far as glans penis, and then returns and causes pain in urethra.

Sarsaparilla

Urine dribbles while sitting. Pass urine only when standing.

Sepia

Involuntary urination, worse coughing, sneezing, laughing, hearing sudden noise, fright or inattention especially in women. Slow urination with bearing down sensation above pubis. Arsenicum album

Looks pale due to destruction of RBC. Face swollen, pale, yellow, cachetic, and sunken. Face is covered with cold sweat. Swollen bleeding gums, painful to touch. Tongue dry, ulcerated with burning. Ascites and anasarca. Abdomen swollen and painful. Liver and spleen enlarged and painful. Skin dry, rough, scaly, worse cold and scratching. Disturbed sleep. Anguish and restlessness. Palpitation, pulse more and rapid in the morning. Impaired muscular power. Severe weakness.

Carcinosin

Family history of pernicious anemia. Weariness and fatigue. Trembling in morning on waking. Sighing breath, causing the heart to constrict. Palpitations audible, tremultuous, violent and visible.

Crotalus horridus

Disorganization of blood causes hemorrhages and jaundice. Hemorrhages from every part of body. Face yellow with death like pallor. Tongue fiery red, dry in centre, smooth and polished. Ulcerations of stomach with constant nausea and vomiting. Trembling feeling of heart with palpitation. Feeble pulse.  Skin cold and dry. Purpura hemorrhagica. Easily tired by slight exertion. Pernicious anemia with goiter. Anemia, emaciation, muscular weakness, sweating, headache, nervous tremor of face and limbs, tingling sensation and paralysis.  Persistent headache. Flushed face. Lips, dry, red, burn, with free desquamation.  Heart rate increased. Heart’s action weak with numbness of fingers. Coldness and cramps in extremities. Aching of lower limbs. Itching without eruptions. Peeling of the skin of lower limbs. Edema of legs. Amenorrhea in young girls. Tired and irritable.

Trinitrotoluenum

Destruction of RBC is responsible for anemia and jaundice with their secondary symptoms. The hemoglobin is changed so it cannot act satisfactorily as an oxygen carrier and as a result have breathlessness, dizziness, headache, faintness and palpitation. Tendency to hemorrhage under the skin. Undue fatigue, muscle cramps and cyanosis. Lycopodium is an effective remedy for high level of creatinine in blood. Urine scanty , cries before urinating, red sand in urine, must strain, suppressed or retained. Urine milky and turbid. Sometimes haematuria. Urine is burning and hot. The right kidney is mainly affected. The patient experiences impotency. The patient likes warm food and drink, also there is intense craving for sweets.

APIS MELLIFICA

Apis mel is another effective remedy where oedematous swellings of face and extremities are present with thirstlessness. Urination frequent but scanty. There is a feeling of suffocation and breathing difficult. All symptoms are worsened from heat and better from cold.

CANTHARIS

Cantharis is best for kidney failure where uremic delusions with sens of persecution is found. There is suppression of urine with restlessness, flushed face and sparkling eyes. The patient has an urge to pass urine but nothing is voided, there being no urine in bladder.

TEREBINTH

Terebinth is prescribed where uraemia with spasms and lock jaw is present which may be occurring every 15 minutes. There is violent convulsions producing most frightful opisthotonos.

HELLEBORUS NIGER 30- Hellebotus is best for high creatinine in blood with remia and unconsciousness. Pupils dilated and insensible to light. Convulsion is present. The body have a strong urinous odor.

UREA

Urea is prescribed where uremia is present. Urine is thin and of low specific gravity.

BELLADONNA

Belladonna is used in the acute stage where uremia occurs in healthy patients when kidney ceases to function and urine becomes dark and turbid. There is twitching of the muscles with violent convulsions.
