HOMEOPATHY FOR ANORECTAL STRICTURE

Anorectal stricture results in narrowing of the rectum and anal canal. It may be congenital or acquired. Acquired strictures of the rectum result from scar tissue arising from trauma, infection or narrowing of the bowel from a new growth. The lesion causing the stricture may be in the bowel wall itself or may constrict the lumen of the bowel by pressure from without.  Constipation, great straining for stool, pain, rectal bleeding, diarrhea are the main symptoms.

AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM

Constipation with hard, dry, knotty, white stools. Pain along rectum after stools. Feels full of small sticks in rectum. Burning in anus with chills up and down the back. Bug crawling sensation in anus. With hemorrhoids.

ALOE SOCOTRINA

Colic and diarrhea in anorectal stricture. Feeling of weakness and loss of power of anal sphincter. Sense of insecurity in rectum. Constant bearing down in rectum. Rectum, sore, hot, and bleeding. Burning in anus and rectum.

ALUMINA

Great straining for stool. Even a soft stool is passed with difficulty. Hard, knotty stools with no desire. Evacuation preceded by painful urging long before stool and then straining at stool. Rectum sore, dry inflamed, and bleeding. Itching and burning in anus.

BARYTA MURIATICA

Spasmodic pain in rectum. Stool white, hard as stones.

CACAREA SILICATA

Stricture of rectum. Constriction of anus. Extreme constipation. Difficult stool.

HYDRASTIS CANADENSIS

Cancerous stricture. Raw smarting in the rectum during stools, remaining long afterwards. Constipation with sinking feeling in stomach. Contraction and spasm in rectum.

LACHESIS

Constipated offensive stool. Anus feels tight, as if nothing could go through it. Pain in rectum. Constant urging in rectum, not for stool. Beating in rectum as from hammers.

NATRUM MURIATICUM

Stools, dry, hard, and crumbling. Anus contracted torn, bleeding. Stool tear the anus cause burning. Burning and stitching pain after stool.

NITRIC ACID

Great straining for stool, but little passes. Violent cutting pains after stool, lasting for hours, walks in agony. Itching and burning in anus. Fissures in anus. Stools tear the anus, even soft stool. Bleeding along with stool.

NUX VOMICA

Constipation with frequent ineffectual urging. Frequent ineffectual urging or passing but small quantities at each attempt. Stool is incomplete and unsatisfactory. Feeling as if part of stool remained unexpelled. Constriction of rectum. Itching, and constant uneasiness in rectum.

OPIUM

Obstinate constipation, no desire to go to stool. Stool like round, hard, black balls. Violent pain in rectum. Bloody mucus along with stool.

PHOSPHORUS

Bleeding from the rectum during stool. Stool very difficult to expel. Long, narrow, hard stool, like a dog’s. Very fetid stools and flatus. Urging for stool on lying on left side. Stricture of rectum with flattened stool. Burning in rectum.

PLUMBUM METALLICUM

Obstructed evacuation. Stools hard, lumpy, black with urging and spasm of anus. Anus feels drawn up or painfully contracted. Intense pain in rectum during stool.

RUTA GRAVEOLENS

Stricture of rectum. Difficult feces, evacuated only with straining. Constipation. Discharge of blood and mucus with stool. Cancer of rectum.

SILICEA

Great straining for stool, rectal stings, closes upon stool. Stools comes out with difficulty when partially expelled, recedes again. Stools retained for fear of pain. Painful spasm of sphincter. Cutting, cramping pain in rectum

THIOSINAMINUM

A specific remedy for rectal stricture. It is a dissolvent, dissolve scar tissues, adhesions.
